WHY CONTRACTORS USE BOB & YOU

Not just another lead service.

A typical lead can leave you chasing a homeowner just to learn whether the job is real. Bob & You is designed to organize the project first, then present qualified contractors with useful information before they commit.

01

Better-prepared opportunities

Review the homeowner's requested work, available photos, measurements, timing, project notes and preliminary scope before deciding whether the job fits.

02

Transparent economics

See the project price, applicable platform-fee percentage and your estimated net payout before you accept.

03

You control the work you take

Select the services you perform, where you work and your availability. You can accept or decline opportunities based on your business.

04

Less scattered paperwork

Messages, project photos, documents, schedule information, changes, approvals and closeout records stay tied to the project.

05

Formal change orders

When the job changes, document what changed, why it changed and the price impact so the homeowner can approve it before added chargeable work moves forward.

06

Performance that follows the work

Build your Bob & You history around reliability, communication, documentation, project outcomes and homeowner satisfaction—not simply the lowest bid.

HOW IT WORKS

From contractor application to completed project.

1

Create your contractor account

Tell us about your business, whether you are an owner-operator or company with crews, the services you provide and where you work.

2

Complete job readiness

Provide your required business information, general liability insurance and licenses or certifications required for the work you select.

3

Receive matching opportunities

When a homeowner project matches your services, location, availability and qualifications, it can appear in your available-project queue.

4

Review before you accept

See the project information, evidence, timing, price, platform fee and estimated net payout. Accept only if the opportunity makes sense for your business.

5

Review the scope and estimate

You're the professional doing the work. Confirm the preliminary scope or make supported corrections before the homeowner gives final project approval.

6

Schedule and perform the work

Keep the project schedule, messages and required documentation in one place. Capture arrival, progress and completion evidence when the project requires it.

7

Handle changes in the app

Document added or changed scope and send it for homeowner approval instead of relying on a verbal agreement or disconnected text message.

8

Complete the job and get paid

Submit required completion documentation. Approved project stages move through the Bob & You payout workflow according to the project's payment terms.

BOB WORKS FOR CONTRACTORS TOO

Your AI helper stays with the project.

Bob is not only the homeowner's assistant. Contractors can use Bob to understand project information, stay organized and move the job through the Bob & You workflow.

  • Help organize scope questions before work begins
  • Keep project steps, schedule and documentation requirements visible
  • Help prepare clear project messages and change-order details
  • Surface what needs attention before a project can move forward
  • Keep project records easier to review later

Bob helps with the workflow; your professional judgment, licensing obligations and responsibility for the work remain yours.

WHO CAN JOIN

Professional work requires professional readiness.

Bob & You is designed for legitimate businesses that are properly insured and legally qualified for the work they perform.

B

Business requirements

Under the current contractor onboarding policy, contractors join as an LLC—either as an individual/owner-operator or a company with a crew. Business information must remain active and in good standing.

For our initial Florida launch, Bob & You can use Florida business records, including Sunbiz, to help verify business information.

✓

Insurance requirements

Current general liability insurance is required. You upload proof of coverage through your contractor account and keep it current.

Additional coverage or documentation may be required based on your business structure, employees, location or the type of work performed.

L

Licenses & certifications

You must maintain the state and local licenses, registrations and trade certifications legally required for every service you perform through Bob & You.

Selecting “Handyman” does not override licensing laws. Plumbing, electrical, HVAC and certain construction, remodeling or specialty scopes may require specific credentials.

Important: Bob & You's verification process does not replace a contractor's responsibility to comply with federal, state, county and local licensing, permitting, insurance, tax, safety and employment requirements.

WHAT WE EXPECT

Good contractors should be able to stand out.

Maintain required licensing and insurance Keep business information current Arrive when scheduled Communicate professionally Work within the approved scope Document required project stages Submit change orders before added chargeable work Protect the homeowner's property Address legitimate project issues Complete work to professional standards
